Orientation: 24 hours @ $0 Non-Billable
Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) or Day 3x12-Hour (07:30 - 19:00)
ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED!
Unit Information:
- Medical Oncology with progressive care beds/pediatric patients.
- High acuity of PCU and small amount of med surg
Schedule:
- No set schedule, no set weekends, no block schedule.
- Facility determines the complete schedule, with the possibility of working every weekend. Must be flexible.
- Maximum 7 straight days off.
- 14-week contract required if taking 7 days off.

- Solid Tumor
- Orthopedic Oncology
- Thoracic Oncology
- Special Procedures/Unit Details:
- 18J is a 36 bed Oncology Telemetry unit with over 24 beds dedicated to PCU level of care.-Pediatric patients are cared for on this unit but are extremely rare and would likely be cared for by perm staff. Pediatric experience is NOT required to be agency RN here.Required: High acuity PCU patient experience-Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fallsSpecial Equipment:
- B450 monitors GE telemetry system.
- Bladder Scanner.
- Alaris pumps.
- Stryker beds.
- Continuous Bladder Irrigation
- PCA Pumps
Requirements:
- 2 years of oncology experience preferred, but NOT REQUIRED
- Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), ACLS & NIH
- Ratio: 1:4-5 Med Surg Telemetry
- Ratio: 1:3 PCU
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
- Previous travel experience preferred.
