Additionally, you will:
- Ensure quality specifications are met for all product produced
- Have a strong machining and mechanical ability to trouble shoot problems independently
- Ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve problems
- Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff ensuring expectations are met
- Monitor, measure and report on production related process performance, general issues
- Ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff
- Ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are followed
- Work closely with other Supervisors to ensure production workflow through effective communications tools
- Ensure that the training skills are met
- Use lean methodology to improve the production throughput
- Play an active role in the companies continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company
- Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace
- All other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 4 years managing and leading people in a manufacturing production environment
- Manufacturing degree or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of 5S, Six sigma, Lean manufacturing principles, and Root cause and corrective action
