What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance tech position at Radial?
Responsibilities :
Assists other Technicians and / or Mechanics in the repair and maintenance of robotics Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings and diagnostic tools Responsible for performing, independently or with minimal guidance, audits, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of automated material handling system components within the Fulfillment Center.
Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment according to safety and quality procedures. Troubleshoots Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and external Input / output (I / O) devices Provides resolutions to mechanical, technical / controls issues.
Troubleshoots and repairs key components for the Fulfillment Center Participates in cleaning the robotic brushes / lenses and maintenance area as appropriate Completes work orders, other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
Assist with developing plans on how to accomplish department goals. Must be willing and able to be certified on powered industrial equipment.
Maintains inventory of company supplied tools. Other duties as instructed by supervision / management.
Qualifications :
Adept at analyzing and resolving mechanical and technical issues Excellent hand and eye coordination skills Ability to read, recognize, write, and follow applicable numbers and directives (verbal and written) in English Command of basic math skills to ensure accurate inventory Ability to maintain a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends as necessary Command of safety procedures (including lock-out / tag-out) Frequent bending, lifting, walking, pushing, pulling of freight, standing for long periods of time
Preferred experience with Geek or similar robotics solutions High School Diploma or GED preferred. AAS in an Engineering related field or will consider experience in lieu of degree including military service.
3-5 years of related experience in mechanical troubleshooting, technical troubleshooting, maintenance and / or installation is required.
Must be able to hear and understand verbal instructions. Must possess capability to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. Must be able to push or pull carts of up to pounds. Must be able to climb stairs. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and grasp products.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Robotics certification is a plus CMMS experience.
- Network troubleshooting a plus.
- Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Experience working with and managing outside vendors, customers, and business partners
- Previous industry-based experience.
- Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
