Qualifications

Educational Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED (required)
· Have at least one year of experience working as a medical receptionist (preferable)
Basic functions and responsibilities:
May include but are not limited to:
· Keeping track of prior authorizations and requesting new ones
· Talk with people interested in ketamine treatment and answer their basic questions.
· Answering the phone
· Cross train to help cover breaks for medical assistants and receptionist
Organization
· Understanding of roles and responsibilities of:
· Prior Authorization/Intake Specialist
· Participates in all assigned committee meetings and projects.
Team Work
· Possess ability to communicate and use effective interpersonal skills with colleagues and other members of the team
· Fosters a positive work environment/attitude and encourages team work.
· Possess strong time management skills
· Must be able to ensure a safe environment for patients/families/ staff, identifying health & safety risks & take appropriate and immediate steps to alleviate the risk
· Assist in the orientation of new personnel as assigned by supervisory staff

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of:
· Maintaining patient confidentiality and security
· Attends annual OSHA training, HIPAA training and all other required in-services.
· Attends and participates in all applicable meetings.
- Knowledgeable of cleaning requirements and schedules; terminal cleaning of procedure rooms
- Is proficient with computers
Equipment
· Is familiar with and can operate all equipment pertinent to job duties/ description
Typical Physical Demands:
Position requires: full range of body motion including handling and lifting heavy objects.
Employee will occasionally be asked to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
Position involves standing and walking.
Normal visual acuity and hearing are required.
Safety and Emergency Preparedness
Describes safety plan and knows location of evacuation meeting place, describes staff roles as well as personal role; understands the HAZCOM program and use/location of SDS books. Is able to recognize and respond to potential emergent situations.

· Wednesday: 9am - 530 pm
· Thursday: 9am - 530 pm
· Friday: 9am - 530 pm
· Saturday: off
