Job Description :
Radiance Solar is seeking an Electrical Engineer(Level I or II) to join our team. The electrical
engineer will be directly reporting to the Director of Pre-construction and will be responsible for
creating engineering design plansets, performing complex electrical calculations based on NEC
standards, supporting the engineering team with the day-to-day design work, and liaising with other
CAD designers in the department.
Responsibilities :
- Take design instructions from the senior engineer and accordingly prepare high-quality construction drawings
- Provide support with designing all aspects of 100kW to 50MW commercial and utility-scale solar PV systems
- Prepare solar production analysis using PVsyst software
- Perform solar string sizing calculations, conductor sizing, and equipment selection - (training and tools will be provided)
- Ensure NEC and AHJ code compliance on all electrical calculations
- Draft electrical one-line diagrams and schematics using AutoCAD and / or Revit software
- Assist with field visits to determine solar feasibility and interconnection strategy
- Interact with Professional engineers (EE) to facilitate timely stamping of electrical plansets
- Prepare electrical-related Bill of Materials (BOM) based on architectural and electrical drawings prepared by in-house CAD designers
