SUMMARY : Directly supervises Manufacturing/Production employees and managers; carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning/scheduling, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, such as inspectors, precision workers, machine operators, sewing machine operators, assemblers, and warehouse workers. Manage the flow of product and inventory to assure quality and inventory accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Enforce safety and sanitation/housekeeping regulations.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production, shipping and receiving areas.
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedule.
- Confer with other workers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Observe work and monitor machinery, to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
- Develop processes and procedures for accurate and timely transactions to support production requirements
- Close facility each night.
- Perform quality control by inspecting finished product
- Have excellent attendance history
- Must have the ability to work overtime as needed

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED; 4 or more years’ experience in an apparel manufacturing environment; lean manufacturing experience a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reading and/or training materials as well as federal/state regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures as needed. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and/or the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and proportions to practical situations
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Must be PC literate (MS Office) and have strong data entry, organizational and interpersonal skills; Excel required.
