Position Summary: The Imprinting Operator Apprentice will perform manual screen-printing work in conjunction with the production/assembly department and graphics department to perform duties essential for customer order completion, timeliness, and accuracy. This role is geared to successfully train individuals to become full fledge Screen Printers. See below for full details.
Phase One – Pocket Press Machine - General training time for this phase is 30 days -
- Each Candidate will move to the manual press once they have successfully completed their training on the pocket press and have proven they can set up and print multicolored jobs that meet our quality standards with no guidance.
Phase Two – Manual Print – General training time for this phase is 30 days -
- Each candidate will move to this phase once they have demonstrated they can successfully print on both the Pocket Press and the Manual machines.
Phase Three – Auto Press – General training time for this phase is 30 days -
- Each candidate will move to this phase once they have demonstrated they can successfully print on both the Pocket Press and the Manual machines.
And all other job related duties
Once the training is complete the candidate will be able to read a traveler, set up and print single and multi-colored jobs on the Pocket Press, Manual and Automatic machines. The ultimate goal is for the candidate to also learn the pad print machines and become a master printer.
Hourly rates and bonuses by phase
$20.00 during training,
$22.22 after completion of Phases One
Two and Three (approximately 90 days)
$250 bonus upon completion of training in 90 days and $500 at completion of one year as a printer

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE & OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1 year previous manual printing experience is required.
Ability to work in a team environment
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to work independently under his/her own initiative
Possesses simple art and design skills
General problem solving/analysis capabilities
Must have excellent verifiable attendance record.
