Job description
Montgomery County's Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) seeks a skilled Project Manager to oversee the maintenance, support, and continued development of the Community Connect Portal. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT project management, team leadership, and implementing large-scale, user-centric digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables for portal upgrades, maintenance, and new feature development.
- Ensure adherence to project budgets and timelines while achieving strategic objectives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with HHS leadership, contractors, and cross-functional teams to meet operational and development goals.
- Facilitate communication between the County’s eICM contractor and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Operations and Maintenance:
- Ensure 99.5% application availability, conducting regular preventive, corrective, and adaptive maintenance.
- Respond to technical incidents, user inquiries, and downtime events within designated timeframes.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Adhere to County and federal regulations, including HIPAA requirements and privacy laws.
- Oversee quality assurance processes, including regression and integration testing.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Deliver weekly and bi-weekly status reports, sprint progress updates, and performance metrics.
- Maintain detailed documentation on project artifacts, system architecture, and operational workflows.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT project management or similar roles.
- Proven expertise in managing digital platform development and maintenance projects.
- Must have knowledge and hands on working on the Community Connect Portal
- Strong knowledge of release management, change control, and integration testing.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
Certifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
