Job Description: Change Management Lead
Duration: 1 Year
Location: Providence, RI(Hybrid: 2 days onsite required per week)

The Change Management Lead will be in charge of implementing IT Organizational Change Management for large IT implementation projects for the State of Rhode Island.
Responsibilities
- Works under the State’s Client Experience Lead (OCM).
- Maintain and enhance established Change Management efforts for overall implementation of a new child welfare system.
- Work with the implementation vendor’s Change Management Lead to develop a change management strategy.
- Work with agency representatives to develop a Communications Plan across all agencies to prepare for implementation.
- Build a change management network team within the agency to articulate change vision and strategy.
- Help establish cooperative agreements with stakeholders to ensure support design and development, implementation planning, data conversion, and training preparation.
- Work with implementation vendor and State team to assess change readiness, leadership alignment and organizational impact of new system implementation.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and communications to obtain awareness, understanding, buy-in and support.
- Work closely with implementation vendor to determine training and resource materials needed for successful change management and user adoption.
- Define project workflows, manage resources, prioritize responsibilities and tasks to deliver quality and timely results.
- Act as a liaison between agency users, leadership, and external stakeholders to proactively articulate challenges, recommend solutions and manage expectations.
- Assure quality control of change management and agency readiness deliverables.
- Works with State and vendor to develop and communicate an readiness plan and stakeholder analysis.
- Develops and uses tools to monitor and measure agency readiness.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience with management or IT consulting firm; or similar industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in Organizational Change Management.
- Experience with industry methods for project management, process improvement, and organizational change management.
- Ability to be a self-starter, team player, and effective leader in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Change Management Certifications preferred.
- Ability to work effectively across the project team that consists of State and Vendor resources. They should also work effectively across multiple State agencies.
- Must be able to create well-written, articulate and creative communication to senior leadership within the project, Agency leadership as well as Executive leadership.
