Job Description
Radiant Healthcare, LLC is a certified Rural Health Clinic that serves patients of all ages.
Basic Purpose Of This Job:
Reporting to the Provider/Owner and other providers, a medical assistant is responsible for direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the Providers.
Job Duties
- Perform direct and indirect patient care
- Take vitals and other data from patient
- Enter into and extract from EMR
- Ensure efficient patient services by assisting the healthcare providers
- Patient instruction to include handout material, videos & medication instructions
- Assist provider in the exam room as required
- Comply with established policies and procedures
- Comply with OSHA policies and compliance
- Comply with CLIA guidelines
- Assure patient and office confidentiality
- Responsible for stocking exam rooms with all needed supplies
- Responsible for maintaining and sanitizing all instruments
- Maintain and inventory vaccines and supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Education Preferred:
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant school or equivalent training program
- A minimum of two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant
- Current CPR certification
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards, office procedures, and protocols
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to properly record and report all pertinent information in electronic patient records
- Experience with blood draws and vaccinations
- Must have basic computer skills (word processing, data entry, Internet)
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform activities according to generally accepted techniques, which ensure maximum protection from injury to patients and staff
- Must be able to stand, bend, squat, turn, stretch, stand, lift, stoop, and sit for long periods of time.
Environmental & Working Conditions:
- Work is done in a busy medical clinic setting
- Large amount of interruptions from a variety of sources (providers, phone, patients, other staff members);
Position is Full-time
Monday – Friday 8:00 – 5:00
