Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Specialist, Operational Processes to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding, mapping, and improving our operational processes while ensuring their seamless integration with our systems. By working closely with key business units, stakeholders, and IT teams, you will drive efficiency improvements, streamline workflows, and ensure that our processes align with both organizational goals and system capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Process Analysis & Mapping:
  • Analyze, document, and map existing operational processes across various departments to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Use process mapping tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio) to visualize and document workflows, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to fully understand their operational needs and challenges.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization by examining workflows, technology integration, and system capabilities.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline and standardize processes across departments, reducing complexity and improving operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement best practices, process controls, and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to monitor and measure process improvements.
  • System & Process Integration:
  • Work closely with IT teams and system specialists to ensure operational processes are effectively integrated with business systems and technologies.
  • Provide insights into system functionality and how it can support and improve operational workflows.
  • Support the implementation of system enhancements that align with process improvements, ensuring that technology is leveraged to its fullest potential.
  • Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and meetings with internal stakeholders to gather detailed requirements for process improvements.
  • Translate operational needs into clear, actionable requirements for system developers and other relevant teams.
  • Serve as a liaison between business units and IT to ensure alignment between operational objectives and system capabilities.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by proactively identifying areas for operational optimization and recommending innovative solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to suggest improvements to processes and systems.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams focused on process improvement initiatives.
  • Training & Support:
  • Develop training materials, conduct training sessions, and provide support to end-users on new or modified processes.
  • Offer guidance and troubleshooting for operational issues related to processes and systems.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for operational processes, providing support to both operational teams and leadership.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of operational processes, changes, and improvements.
  • Track and report progress on process improvement initiatives to leadership, highlighting success stories and areas requiring further focus.
  • Create reports and dashboards to communicate performance metrics and improvements to key stakeholders.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • 3 years of experience in operational process analysis, process improvement, or business systems integration required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of process mapping tools and techniques (e.g., BPMN, Visio, flowcharts).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business processes and propose actionable solutions.
  • Familiarity with business systems (ERP, CRM, etc.) and how they integrate with operational processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions, present findings, and collaborate across departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Project management experience or familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement certifications.
  • Experience with process automation tools or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Knowledge of change management principles and techniques.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and performance measurement tools.

Work Schedule

  • Full time schedule of minimum 8 hours per day with flexibility to complete all required job duties and responsibilities.
  • Minimum of 3 days a week in the corporate office.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents, spreadsheets, emails, and instructions.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak clearly and effectively to both internal and external contacts.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 Annual Salary Range

  • Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to an individual’s education, work experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
