JOB SUMMARY:
The Interim Health Services Director is responsible for overseeing the health and wellness programs of the assisted living facility. This role involves managing nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and implementing policies that promote the physical and emotional well-being of residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for seniors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and support nursing staff and health service team members.
- Foster a collaborative environment among staff to ensure high-quality care.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Assess resident health needs and coordinate care plans in collaboration with medical professionals.
- Ensure personalized care plans are implemented and regularly reviewed.
- Act as a point of contact for families regarding resident health concerns.
- Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations regarding health services.
- Implement quality assurance initiatives to maintain high standards of care.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of health service practices.
- Develop and implement health and wellness programs for residents.
- Provide education to residents and families on health management and wellness practices.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance service offerings.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure holistic care for residents.
- Liaise with external healthcare providers and community resources.
- Participate in facility committees as needed to support operational goals.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current nursing license (RN) in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in assisted living or long-term care settings is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare software.
