JOB SUMMARY:
Radiant Medical Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. This position will require travel to various locations throughout the Portland and surrounding areas. This position is responsible for assisting the Physical Therapist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal disorders. Successful candidates will have a strong background in manual therapy, as well as the ability to communicate with patients and their families.
RESPONSBILITIES:
- Assisting the Physical Therapist with the assessment and treatment of patients
- Performing manual therapy techniques including, but not limited to, casting, thumb/forearm/hand/upper leg/lower leg/fibromyalgia pain, wrist/finger pick, etc.
- Receiving and evaluating patient feedback
- Preparing reports for treatment plans
- Keeping accurate notes and documentation on patient cases
- Communicating with other healthcare professionals regarding patient care
- Performing other duties as assigned by Amedisys Home Health's Physical Therapist or Supervisor (if applicable)
- Completing patient paperwork as assigned by Amedisys Home Health's Physical Therapist or Supervisor (if applicable)
- Being a team player and contributing to the overall success of the clinic
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as a physical therapy assistant in Oregon.
- Graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
- One (1 ) year related physical therapy experience for PTAs to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients
- Current CPR certification.
