Full time Toddler Assistant teacher and float

We are looking for a responsible, dedicated, passionate, and motivated Toddler Teacher's Assistant and float for our classrooms. This position would be primarily an extra staff in our toddler classroom to help provide support as our toddlers learn independence, and would float to other classrooms as/when needed for staffing.

Must be available to work consistent hours every day Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space.
• Be open to working in all classrooms/age groups.
• Strong time management skills to ensure children's needs are met when needed and on schedule.
• Provide age appropriate care for the students in the classroom. Including, but not limited to, meals, lessons, redirection, behavior guidance, and structure.
• Present and provide opportunities to explore Montessori lessons, sing songs, read stories, encourage milestones and further learning and independence.
• Calm, quiet, and patient attitude and ability to work well under pressure during stressful times in the classroom. Help children with redirection, learning boundaries, self awareness, and managing emotions at an age appropriate level.
• Be respectful, dependable, have a positive attitude, commitment to attending work regularly and being punctual.
• Classroom experience is required. Experience in a Montessori classroom, is strongly preferred.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and Rule 3 preferred.
• Experience in behavior management strategies to effectively guide age appropriate student interactions.
• Familiarity with Montessori is an advantage. Willingness to learn Montessori philosophy is a must.
• Ability to work collaboratively with management, colleagues, parents, and other adults.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills to engage effectively with children and their families.
• Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children in a childcare setting.
• Ability to be flexible and willing to accommodate the needs of the school, staff, children, and families while maintaining a safe, professional, and positive environment for all.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
