Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient treatment plans by collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of dental services.
- Manage scheduling, including appointment bookings, confirmations, and follow-ups to optimize patient flow.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients to facilitate smooth billing processes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with health information management standards.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix or for managing patient data and scheduling.
- Assist with administrative tasks including answering phones, responding to inquiries, and providing excellent customer service.
- Support the medical coding process by ensuring proper documentation is available for billing purposes.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment options, insurance coverage, and appointment details.
- Provide assistance in Spanish when necessary to enhance patient communication.
Skills
- Two years of dental experience is a must.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes to assist patients effectively.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software like Dentrix preferred but not required.
