Electronics Technician Position
Radiant Technologies, Inc., located in Albuquerque, New Mexico (www.ferrodevices.com), is seeking a Electronics Technician to work on Radiant’s test instrumentation products sold to researchers and engineers working with non-linear materials world-wide. Radiant’s Vision software enables measurement of the ferroelectric, piezoelectric, pyroelectric, magnetoelectric’s and memory properties of ceramic or organic smart materials.The ideal candidate will have a passion for electronics, practical experience with various electrical test equipment, and the ability to perform board-level troubleshooting and repairs for both new production and customer instruments.
Qualifications:
Candidate must have Associate or Bachelor degree in electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology or military training. Equivalent experience in electronics will be considered. US Citizenship is required.
Position Responsibilities:
Electrical Testing and Measurement
Utilize oscilloscopes, Digital multimeter's, functional generators, power supplies and other electrical test equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot Radiant technologies instruments.
Conduct electrical test and measurements on Radiant Technologies instruments to ensure proper functionality and compliance with specifications
Knowledge of computer busses such as RS-232/422/485, 12C, SPI and USB.
Soldering and Assembly:
Perform Soldering and de-soldering of components on printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Assemble electrical circuit boards, mechanical housing and wire harnesses
Board-Level troubleshooting and repair.
Diagnose and repair faults at the board level, including replacing defective components and reworking PCB Traces.
Proper disassembly and re-assembly of customer returns
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols while working with electrical equipment especially to our high voltage instruments.
Computer Skills:
General purpose office programs for communication and reports. Running automation scripts and programs for production test. Demonstrated ability to learn complicated programs such as Radiant Technologies Vision software
Understanding of basic computer networking
