Cloud Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Developer with expertise in Java, SQL, and Unix to join our team. As a Senior Cloud Developer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining cloud-based applications, driving continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), and collaborating in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain cloud-based solutions leveraging Java, SQL, and Unix/Linux technologies.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Work in AGILE methodology with teams, ensuring fast-paced delivery and iterative development.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for Java-based applications and environments.
• Ensure smooth integration and deployment in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Use DevOps principles and best practices to automate and optimize workflows.
• Manage containerization with Docker, and orchestration with Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Dev, Operations) to ensure quality, performance, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and troubleshooting issues related to cloud infrastructure.
• Maintain project tracking in JIRA, ensuring transparency and efficient project management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on cloud technologies, Java, SQL, and Unix systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including containerization, orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
• Proficiency in Java development, including frameworks and libraries for cloud applications.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Openshift, or similar container orchestration tools.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience in SQL database management and querying.
• Familiarity with JIRA and working in an AGILE environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud-native applications.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Exposure to other programming languages and tools is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
