Position Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily operations across multiple teams within the organization. This role involves ensuring that all assembly, receiving, analysis, logistics, and support processes run in accordance with quality standards specified in ISO 17025 and efficiently. The Operations Manager will lead the production / assembly, receiving, laboratory and logistics teams providing strategic direction, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational and technical excellence.

A continuous improvement mindset is required recommended for this role. The person in this role works closely with other managers in preparing and implementing policy and setting the strategic vision for the company in terms of analytical quality, efficiency, continuous improvement and new products and services.

This position reports to SVP of Operations and Technical Services and offers a high rate of learning on a diverse range of projects and the opportunity to quickly have a direct impact on the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to multiple operational teams, including coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
• Manage 3 Analytical Systems
• Ensure the teams meet their goals and uphold company standards in safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Works with other managers in the organization to maintain and improve safe, high quality and efficient operations
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust operational strategies as necessary to achieve organizational goals.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Maintain compliance with domestic and international accreditation bodies for dosimetry services.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall operational performance.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to drive operational excellence.
• Identify product and shipping trends though complex data analysis, interpreting results from multiple sources using a variety of techniques.
• Analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of dose data to help automate and optimize key features and processes.
• Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, challenges, and recommendations.
• Responsible for budget under the area of control and cost reduction initiatives.
• Able to investigate and resolve small mechanical problems as they might arise during day to day operations.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Client Success teams to integrate operational insights into new product development and service enhancements
• Foster a positive workplace culture to enhance employee engagement, retention, and productivity.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams through organizational change while maintaining operational excellence
