Candidate needs to be onsite for 2nd Round interview
Position Summary:
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) seeks an experienced AI Developer to support the development and maintenance of applications built on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), especially the Document AI solution used to process vital records. This role includes leading technical efforts, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring compliance with SEM/SUITE standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance and support Google Cloud Platform-based DOC AI solution for vital records.
- Develop scalable AI/ML solutions and document processing tools.
- Guide technical design and implementation in a team lead capacity.
- Collaborate on projects involving chatbot development, OCR, and NLP.
- Ensure CI/CD pipeline stability and implement agile, test-driven development.
- Design, build, and maintain microservices and cloud-native applications.
Must-Have Skills (3 Years Experience Required):
- AI/ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn
- NLP tools: SpaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face
- OCR: Tesseract, Google Vision API, AWS Textract
- Chatbot tools: Dialogflow ES/CX, Google Assistant SDK
- Backend development: RESTful APIs, webhooks, microservices
- Programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript
- Data tools: SQL, R, Pandas
- Cloud platforms: Google Cloud (App Engine, Firestore, Cloud Functions)
- Frontend frameworks: Angular or React
- JBOSS Enterprise SOA, including JBOSS Workflow
- CMM/CMMI Level 3 practices and agile methodologies
- CI/CD using Azure DevOps
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ELK Stack, Oracle, or Databricks
- Familiarity with Node.js and C
- Strong background in conversation design and chatbot UX
- Proficiency with Git and debugging tools
- Experience in large-scale data processing and unit/integration testing
Additional Requirements:
- Must be within 1.5-hour commuting distance to Lansing, MI
- Must be able to attend onsite interviews and be present on camera for virtual ones
