RadiFi Credit Union (formerly known as Jax Federal Credit Union) is seeking a Deposit Operations Supervisor to assist the Deposit Operations Manager in the functions associated with administration of deposit products. This role is critical to ensuring our suite of deposit products and services (consumer and business) is compliant, competitively priced and that service levels drive member engagement, improve loyalty, and exceed member expectations. Administers and oversees product support for savings, checking, money markets, certificates, and IRAs. Serves as expert resource for ACH, check and statement processing, account ownership (consumer, business, and fiduciary accounts), annual escheatment, deposit related charge-offs, deceased accounts, legal processing (garnishment, levies, etc.), database management, and regulatory compliance.

Location : Corporate Office, 562 Park Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204

Status : Full-time (approximately 40 hours per week)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • ACH ADMINISTRATION – Serve as ACH subject matter expert to all stakeholders, including Retail and Operations. Serve as expert in the ACH Operating Rules and associated Rules and Regulations.
  • Monitor and recommend efficiencies of existing ACH workflows; develop and implement new processes where needed. Manage daily activities for ACH / Share Draft processing, independently resolving complex ACH scenarios.
  • Ensure all ACH and Share Draft exceptions are processed within required timeframes. Process decedent notifications, returns, stops and reclamations. Balances ACH settlements and GL reconciliations to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Works closely with Operations Manager and Sr. Director of Operations to ensure that operational standards are met, and that issues are appropriately escalated and resolved in a timely manner.
  • MONITOR METRICS & INCREASE USAGE - Will assist Department Manager in preparing deposit operating results for usage and penetration metrics
  • Acts to correct changing trends or unsatisfactory member experiences
  • Keeps abreast of key industry and deposit trends through research and vendor demonstrations to enable continuously improvements to deposit roadmap
  • Works with marketing to promote staff and member usage.
  • PROVIDE OUTSTANDING OPERATIONAL SUPPORT TO OTHER AREAS - Maintains working knowledge for deposit products and / or systems (account opening and account revisions)
  • Reviews hotline calls and problem resolution incidents to determine if process improvements are needed, or additional staff training is needed
  • Works with training department as subject matter expert to insure deposit related training is maintained
  • Reviews processes to determine if tasks are being completed efficiently
  • Maximizes system utilization to automate tasks.
  • RISK & COMPLIANCE - Identifies and mitigates risks associated with deposit offerings
  • Monitors and reduces internal / external fraud
  • Maintains information security practices, regulatory compliance and follows sound business practice.
  • Ensures compliance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
  • Performs annual and new product / service risk assessments in conjunction with department manager; responds to audit findings. Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • ADMINISTER & SUPERVISE DEPOSIT OPERATIONS - Monitors work to ensure daily deposit operation tasks are accurately completed and on time
  • Plans, organizes, directs, and supervises daily department operations. Provide supervision to direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of the company, including staffing and scheduling coverage, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies, and work rules.
  • Huddles with department on area and CU-wide changes; reports up as necessary. Assist other areas and branches with huddles on deposit related information
  • Acts as liaison between members, other departments.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills

Experience

Minimum of 5 years products experience required. Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience required.

Education / Certifications / Licenses

Bachelor's degree in Business-related field, or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or equivalent experience required. Must be a Certified ACH Specialist.

Obtaining cooperation (internally and / or externally) is an important part of the job. Must also be able to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. A high level of interpersonal skills and social sensitivity are required. The candidate meets employees on all levels of the organization. The candidate is a resource to the organization and must be an effective listener and communicator. The candidate must set the example in attitude, behavior, and work ethic.

Should possess a strong commitment to providing excellent service to RadiFi CU's members. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Positive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsiveness to all internal and external stakeholders. Strong administrative, project and organization skills. Strong technology skills including the MS Office suite. Knowledge of financial institution products, delivery channels, services, programs, policies and procedures. Research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions. A solid understanding of the financial services industry and the laws and regulations that govern and / or impact the credit union - Regulations E, CC, D and Truth-in-Savings Act.

Physical Requirements

Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.

Mental and / or Emotional Requirements

Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and / or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
