Radin Consulting, Inc., a transportation planning and design firm, is looking for a full-time Document Control Specialist. This position will be based in Newark, NJ. The position is hybrid- 3 days in the office is required. This person will monitor compliance with the client’s document control procedures and should have prior experience performing the duties described below. Salary will be based on qualifications and experience. Excellent benefits are included. All candidates must be vaccinated for Covid-19.
Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must have at least 4 years of experience performing the responsibilities described below.
- Experience with Document Controls software, such as Aconex and E-Builder, is preferred.
- Strong understanding and capabilities in utilizing naming and numbering conventions for receiving, recording, filing, transferring, transmitting, retrieving, and archiving documents
- Must possess the ability to understand the underlying document control principles involved and a strong initiative to apply them
- Must possess character traits of being accurate, meticulous, proactive, efficient, self-organizing, and a team player
- Experience and familiarity with large construction projects
- SharePoint user knowledge is a plus.
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors compliance with the client’s document control procedures and requirements, controls deviations and follows up on corrections.
- Assists in training staff in the client’s document control processes and associated tools.
- Checks incoming documents for readiness prior to processing.
- Updates registers and the Electronic Content Management System (ECMS) for the processed documents.
- Distributes documents by hard copy and electronic means, including arranging copies.
- Files and archives documents
- Administers document lifecycle engineering (author, approve, publish, revise, retire, archive), construction documents, and other business policies and procedures.
- Prepares electronic document templates.
- Supports in the performance of quality reviews and audits.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
