Position Summary
Do you love solving complex electronic issues? If so, we want you on our team! We are seeking a skilled team player, Electronics Repair Bench Technician who thrives on diagnosing and troubleshooting all types of electronic equipment. You will determine equipment malfunctions, their causes, and restore the equipment’s operations to engineering specifications.
- Diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs, and updates electronic equipment
- Plan and perform troubleshooting using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and a thorough knowledge of electronic theories, principles of operation, and application of electronic equipment
- Maintain and update accurate records of repairs, parts used, test results, and other activities
- Provides repair estimates for parts out of warranty equipment
- Informs appropriate management of repetitive defects and their potential causes
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure quality customer service experience
- Provides feedback on processes and makes recommendations for improvement
- Assists in training
- Other duties as required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in using electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies) and soldering, both SMT and Through-hole
- Ability to read and interpret technical literature, schematics, and blueprints
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
- Communicates effectively both written and verbally
Qualifications
- 2-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program, or the equivalent in a technical field
- 3- years of proven experience in electronics repair, troubleshooting, or related field
- Must possess technical aptitude and have hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing of electrical circuits and equipment
- Strong soldering and desoldering skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently
- Eagerness to stay updated on emerging technologies and new products
