Radiocw Healthcare in Olney, MD is looking for a compassionate and reliable Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our team. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential in-home care for patients who need assistance with daily activities, enabling them to live comfortably and independently in their own homes. You will work closely with our healthcare team to ensure the well-being of our clients and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Help clients with mobility, including transfers and ambulation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring clients receive proper nutrition.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals and monitor medication schedules.
- Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) as needed.
- Provide light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
- Help clients with exercises and rehabilitation activities as prescribed.
- Document and report any changes in the clients condition or behavior to the supervisor or healthcare team.
- Ensure client safety and comfort at all times, following infection control protocols.
- Promote client independence and assist them in participating in activities as much as possible.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required.
- Previous experience in home health or caregiving is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate and patient, with a strong desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly in a clients home.
- Reliable transportation to travel between clients' homes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and families.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
