Position Overview:
We are looking for a Full-Time Registrar to join our fast-paced outpatient imaging center at Port Orange Imaging. In this role, you will provide quality customer service by obtaining and entering accurate demographic and insurance information into our RIS system for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances from patients.
- Cross-reference scheduled appointments with written radiology orders to ensure the correct exam is performed.
- Answer and direct calls on a multi-line phone system in a friendly and professional manner.
- Validate insurance information, including pre-authorization documentation and authorization numbers.
- Maintain positive communication and a helpful demeanor with patients, staff, and families.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of related medical office experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong computer skills and customer service abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, HMOs, and PPOs is a plus.
