General Summary of Duties :
This position works collaboratively with the Clinical Applications Support team to ensure the effective support, administration, and maintenance of clinical applications and related systems within the organization. This includes systems such as PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), RIS (Radiology Information System), dictation, and other related clinical applications. The position also involves working with the Teleradiology Applications Support team to ensure hospital and outside facility workflows are met. The individual will also collaborate with the IT department for system upgrades, changes, and project tasks.
The role requires accountability for day-to-day support, system integration, and maintenance of clinical applications. The individual will assist in troubleshooting and escalate issues when necessary.
Essential Functions :
- Provide Level I support for clinical applications, including PACS, RIS, dictation, and other clinical systems.
- Assist in the integration and connectivity of DICOM and HL7 transmissions into related systems.
- Work with the Clinical Applications Support team to ensure system integrity, image / data availability, and overall system support.
- Manage backup and maintenance plans for clinical systems in day-to-day operations.
- Assist in training radiologists and other staff in the use of new systems, applications, and upgrades, in partnership with the Clinical Training and Development Manager.
- Escalate complex problems to Level II Clinical Applications Support team members or engage vendors or outside parties for resolution.
- Help manage the overall functionality of the clinical applications, ensuring systems operate efficiently and effectively across all Divisions of the organization.
