Position Summary :
Radiology Associates is looking for a CT Technologist responsible for performing CT scans and related tasks. This role involves operating advanced CT equipment, ensuring radiation safety, preparing contrast media, and providing exceptional care to patients during their procedures.
Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Interaction : Greet and provide instructions to patients, ensuring they understand the procedure.
- Scheduling & Clerical : Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical functions.
- CT Scanning : Perform specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment following prescribed radiation safety protocols.
- Patient Positioning : Position patients for CT scans, using proper patient positioning devices and adjusting equipment to achieve the correct radiation exposure.
- Contrast Preparation : Prepare and administer contrast media and barium as needed for imaging procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance : Ensure all equipment is in proper working condition and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Image Evaluation : Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, organize and label processed images, and complete related paperwork using computer equipment.
- Training & Orientation : Provide orientation and training to new CT technologists and student technologists.
- Patient Care : Ensure the psychological and physical needs of patients are met before, during, and after CT scans.
- Competency Demonstration : Maintain current competencies applicable to the position.
Required Qualifications :
Licensed in the state of Florida as a Radiologic Technologist.
