What you’ll get to do:

• Provide quality customer service while obtaining and entering accurate demographic and insurance information into our RIS system.
• Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances from patients.
• Cross-reference scheduled appointments against written radiology orders to ensure the appropriate exam is being performed.
• Answer a multi-line phone system in a courteous and friendly manner, routing calls to the appropriate person or facility.
• Validate insurance information, including all pre-authorization documentation and authorization numbers.
• Interact and communicate with a pleasant and helpful demeanor to all departmental staff, patients, and families.
• Assist with other duties and special tasks as needed.

What you will need to be successful:

• A minimum of one year of related medical office experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong computer and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, HMOs, and PPOs is a plus.
