The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel's guest rooms and public areas. They lead a team of housekeepers, overseeing daily operations to guarantee a comfortable and pleasant environment for guests. The Housekeeping Supervisor must be able to manage staff effectively, resolve problems quickly and efficiently, and provide excellent customer service, ensuring a pristine environment that exceeds guest expectations.

Responsibilities
- Directly oversee the work of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, cleaners, and janitors.
- Create work schedules and assign specific cleaning duties to staff members, ensuring efficient coverage and completion of tasks.
- Train new housekeeping employees on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and hotel standards. Provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure high-quality performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and compliance with hotel standards.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities. Coordinate orders and replenishments as needed to support daily operations.
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints related to housekeeping promptly and professionally. Take appropriate actions to resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of room status, cleaning activities, and maintenance requests. Prepare reports on departmental performance and operational metrics as required.
- Develop and implement new housekeeping procedures and policies
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory role preferred
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to resolve problems quickly and efficiently
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
