Radius Aerospace– Hot Springs is a leading manufacturer of sheet metal parts and assemblies used in the aviation industry. We utilize a wide range of metal forming techniques and special manufacturing processes, servicing the commercial, military, regional jet, helicopter, and general aviation markets.
Position Summary
Assist in designing manufacturing processes, procedure and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling. Assist in designing arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Assist in designing sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrications of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. Verifies performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigate and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensure processes and procedures are following regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Know and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures.
- Know, understand, and follow department policies and procedures.
- Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Provides input to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and assists in designing layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Confers with planning staff concerning product tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Assists in the design sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
- Analyzes performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
- Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
- Consults customer specification documents to develop operations routing for all manufactured products.
- Reports to work on time, follow instruction from supervisor or management, interact will with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures.
- Other various duties as needed or as assigned.
Position Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
