ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Help us succeed by doing your part as a member of our Facilities Maintenance team as a Maintenance Technician
The primary function of a Maintenance Technician is the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments, following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings, using hand tools, power tools, hoist, crane, and measuring and testing instruments.
Major duties of a Facilities Maintenance Technician include:
- Troubleshooting malfunctions; makes routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.

- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
- Discuss safety, productivity, major repairs and procedures during meetings with co-workers, supervisors, and internal customers.
- Coordinates external contractors to come onsite for specialized processes as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Solid experience (minimum 3 years) within facilities/maintenance (aerospace experience preferred but not mandatory) , coordinating equipment/process maintenance activities, PM programs, contractor oversight, site security and emergency systems, lean manufacturing and strong communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Talk to suppliers and contractors, e.g. speak with suppliers about equipment specifications, delivery times and prices.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be highly detail oriented and precise, as the position requires specs to be followed with very little room for error.
- 480V Electrical experience a plus.
- Experience with vacuum systems and vacuum furnaces preferred.
- Experience with hydraulic presses and equipment preferred.
