Radius Aerospace– Hot Springs is a leading manufacturer of sheet metal parts and assemblies used in the aviation industry. We utilize a wide range of metal forming techniques and special manufacturing processes, servicing the commercial, military, regional jet, helicopter, and general aviation markets.
Position Summary
The Waterjet operator ,after training, using safety gear, will take a sheet of metal and place it correctly into the waterjet. After making sure it is securely in place, the operator will stand back and start the program. The program will begin to cut detailed designs out of the metal. The operator will make sure the program is cutting correctly and is not encountering any issues. These parts are used in many different fighter jets, commercial jets, and other parts in the aviation industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Know and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures.
- Know, understand, and follow department policies and procedures.
- Monitors and verifies part(s) quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures while still hot using a variety of check fixtures and tools.
- Moves or transports material or supplies to other work areas.
- Good regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Other various duties as needed or as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Forklift experience preferred
- Basic computer proficiency and functional knowledge with applications for data entry
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
