What are the responsibilities and job description for the Import/Export Associate position at Radius International, Inc.?
Radius International is seeking a motivated team member to coordinate the movement and processing of air/ocean shipments. In addition, you will be responsible for answering emails returning phone calls, checking on status of shipments, communicating with the airline contacts, our overseas partners and customers. You are responsible to ensure the shipment you are working on moves smoothly. All employees of Radius International are required to be Level One certified in CargoWise. Other duties as required.
Ability to problem solve
Create or request all documents required for product to be in conformance with country of destination, which includes Bills of Lading, Import Permits &, Certificates of Origin
Sending documentation to customer for approval
Track documents and shipments
Ensure customer compliance across local government, foreign government, banking, USDA regulations platforms
Performs credit check prior to arranging transportation
Processes customer booking requests in accordance with customer level service agreements and established routing guides to maximize profitability
Processes shipments in compliance with company, customer and regulatory requirements
Communicate with carriers, vendors, agents and customers effectively regarding shipments
Communicate with the sales team and operations to provide pricing and information on demand
Be able to work effectively with other members of the team
