Job Title: Family Medicine Physician
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our medical team.
This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive, continuous care to patients of all ages in a rural community setting.
As a Family Medicine Physician, you will serve as the primary healthcare provider for individuals and families, managing a wide variety of health conditions and coordinating care across a range of specialties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary healthcare services, including routine check-ups, health screenings, immunizations, diagnosis, and treatment of common medical conditions for patients of all ages (pediatric to geriatric).
- Emphasize disease prevention, health promotion, and lifestyle management through counseling and education on nutrition, exercise, and mental health.
- Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, as well as acute illnesses and injuries.
- Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and manage complex medical issues.
- Document patient care, history, and treatment plans using electronic health records (EHR) to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Participate in an on-call rotation, depending on the practice's needs, to provide after-hours support to patients when necessary.
- Foster relationships with patients and their families, contributing to the health and well-being of the local Bourbon community.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine; must possess or be eligible for a valid medical license in Indiana.
- Previous experience in family medicine or primary care is preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- BLS/ACLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed depending on the specific practice requirements.
