OB/GYN Locum (Physician #)

Obstetrics Care : Provide prenatal, labor, and delivery care for pregnant women. Manage and monitor the health of both the mother and the fetus throughout pregnancy and childbirth, including performing cesarean sections and other childbirth procedures when necessary. Surgical Procedures : Perform gynecological surgeries such as hysterectomies, laparoscopies, and other minimally invasive and traditional procedures as needed. Patient Education : Educate patients about pregnancy, contraception, reproductive health, and lifestyle choices that impact women s health. Collaborative Care : Work as part of a healthcare team that includes nurses, nurse practitioners, and other specialists, ensuring comprehensive care for patients. Emergency Care : Provide care in emergency situations, such as complications during pregnancy, miscarriages, or gynecological emergencies. Family Planning : Offer counseling on birth control options, fertility, and family planning. Postpartum Care : Provide care for women during the postpartum period, monitoring recovery after childbirth, and addressing any complications that arise. Clinical Documentation : Maintain thorough and accurate medical records, including patient history, examination results, diagnoses, and treatments. On-call Responsibilities : Depending on the practice, participate in after-hours or weekend on-call rotations to handle emergencies, labor and delivery, and other OB / GYN-related needs.
