Job Description

• Hospital-based Breast Center is a specialized facility that provides high-quality breast imaging services.
• The work schedule for this position is 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with a consistent and predictable routine.
• This position is based in a Level 4 trauma designation hospital, ensuring access to advanced medical care when needed.
• As a Breast Imager, you will not be exposed to the high-volume emergency room environment, allowing for a more focused and efficient workflow.
• You will utilize Powerscribe dictation software to document patient information in EPIC, as well as generate EPIC Mammography reports.
• The facilities equipped for mammography and ultrasound procedures include one dedicated mammography room and two ultrasound rooms at Silverton Hospital, as well as one mammography room and one ultrasound room at the Imaging Center (limited to screening exams).
• As part of a large Seattle-based radiology practice, you will collaborate with 250 experienced radiologists, serving as the on-site physician and medical expert for breast imaging patients.
• Support staff includes two daytime ultrasound technicians, one mammography technician, and one breast navigator who assists with stereotactic and ultrasound-guided breast biopsies, and helps schedule follow-up care for mammography patients.
• Teleradiology is not applicable for this position, as it is reserved for diagnostic radiology exams only.
• This role focuses on adult patient care, requiring a high level of expertise and compassion in delivering personalized breast imaging services.
