  • Our mission is to be a place where patients want to receive care and employees want to work.
  • This is a small, rural hospital where the General Surgeon will be primarily on solo coverage. Searching for an experienced (at least 1 year of General Surgery work experience is required, at least 5 years of General Surgery work experience is preferred).
  • Facility does not have a robot on site
  • Busy ER : 18,000 visits / year
  • Trauma is rare. No multi-trauma will come to Springfield. General Surgeon can expect mostly bread and butter cases - gall bladder, hernia, a lot of upper and lower GI Endoscopy (about 100 per month) as there is no GI onsite.
  • Sees ages 16 . No peds as there is no pediatrician onsite.
  • Emergency Department is run by an MD.
