Radixsol is seeking a travel nurse RN Manager for a travel nursing job in Alliance, Nebraska.

Department Notes
2nd floor, 25 private-bed unit - (23 beds of floor, 2 Medical Decision Unit beds)
Patient population: COPD with exacerbation, CHF, heavy emphasis on swing bed (average stay is 12 days) to keep patients local and care for patients with amputations, wound care, long term antibiotics, ect. There are some post partum and pediatric patients on this unit.
Ratio: 1:4, with 1:5 being a stretch. Charge Nurse available on every shift and does not take patients. Central telemetry monitoring, with two portable tele monitors. Social Services available on floor with 3 Case Managers. There are typically 1-2 Nurse Aides or Unit Clerk available. In-house Pharmacy until 11:00pm M-F, remote Pharmacist through UNMC overnight and weekends. Lab 24/7 and will handle blood draws. Excellent Therapy services with patients being seen several times a day.

Specialty Profile Notes
Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting. A minimum of one year of prior nursing supervisory experience. Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required, Masters in Nursing is preferred.
Requirements: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska or Compact State, BLS and ACLS issued through American Heart Association.
Position oversee implementing and complying with the nursing and other standards of care; overseeing patient care in multiple units with patients of all ages: newborns to elderly; scheduling of employees, hiring employees, employee evaluations, time and attendance management, budgeting, participating in the nursing leadership team, discipline, supervising nursing department clinical staff members, and participating in the hospital’s performance improvement program. The Clinical Nurse Manager provides support, direction, and resource for the clinical and nursing staff . The Clinical Nurse Manager utilizes clinical experts in specialty areas for resource, advice, and assigning special duties as needed. The Clinical Nurse Manager provides supplemental staffing of clinical areas if needed. The Clinical Nurse Manager makes rounds in each of their assigned departments to determine unmet needs, provide necessary tools and support, interact with patients and nursing staff, and offer employee mentoring and coaching. The position requires an experienced acute care registered nurse with innovative ideas, flexibility, effective leadership, excellent communication abilities and relationship building skills. The Clinical Nurse Manager must build close ties with the medical staff members and be available to problem solve and work through conflicts to help improve care delivery. The position embraces service excellence. Due to changing organizational needs, work hours may vary. Each Clinical Nurse Manager will provide backup assistance in the event of another Clinical Nurse Manager’s absence, by rounding in other departments when needed, and offering task assistance when necessary.
