Role Overview:
As a Metals Trader, you will be responsible for developing and executing trading strategies across global metals markets, including but not limited to gold, silver, copper, and other precious and base metals. You will leverage cutting-edge technology, quantitative models, and market data to identify trading opportunities and manage risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement trading strategies for metals markets based on technical and fundamental analysis.
- Execute trades and manage risk in real-time to optimize profitability.
- Perform in-depth market research and analysis to stay ahead of industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a metals trader, ideally in a proprietary trading or hedge fund environment.
- Strong understanding of metals markets, including commodities futures, options, and spot markets.
- Expertise in technical analysis and market microstructure.
- Ability to analyze macroeconomic factors and their impact on metals prices.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to develop models and strategies.
- A track record of profitable trading and consistent performance.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with algorithmic trading or quantitative strategies.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R, or C ) is a plus.
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is desirable.
