What are the responsibilities and job description for the ROCC Technical Assistant position at RadNet?
Shift: Full-time Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
We invite you to joinour Healthcare Advanced Imaging Center at RadNetRadiology, as a ROCC Technical Assistant.This full-time position will have a Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm schedule, located at our outpatient practice in Riverside, CA.
Our centers are multi-modality and provide a wide variety of diagnostic imaging services to patients in a friendly and comfortable environment.
As an ROCC Tech Assistant, you will have the opportunity to:
- Take accurate patient medical history with MRI safety and record information into patients' medical chart and/or electronic medical records system; for patient flow and accurate encounter documentation.
- Accurately maintains and records patient communication during exams.
- Stocks and maintain all supply levels for assigned area; order and restock following site guidelines / protocols.
- Support technologists with procedures as needed; which includes the set-up of coils, schedule maintenance, and/or clean-up of MRI suite and other duties as assigned.
- Greets patients with courtesy and respect; introduces self; describes procedures; puts patients at ease.
- May administer oral contrast to patients and provides instructions as needed under direction of technologist.
- Comply with all HIPAA guidelines, confidently guidelines, and safety guidelines for a laboratory / clinical environment. Ensures appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and exercise universal precautions when dealing with all patients and exams.
- Maintain a clean, safe and compliant MRI control room space. Decontaminate equipment, coils, and exam / control room using the designated products and procedures.
- Assists with lifting and transferring physically challenged patients to and from exam tables
- May remove and properly dispose of IV catheters, bandages and puncture site.
- Provides any discharge instructions in conjunction with the MRI Steering Technologist.
- Communicates effectively with the MRI Steering Technologist.

Requirements:Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year experience in medical setting
- Completion of approved MR Technologist Assistant program, including hands-on clinical training
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, public relations and verbal and written communication
- Must be very detail oriented
- Must be able to assist in lifting patients onto table
- Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant Designations - Preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Effective time management skills
Pay range: $18.00 / hour
