The following position may be available immediately :

Courier / Maintenance Personnel

District-wide

Hours : 7 : 30 am -4 : 00 pm

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in courier services or a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights.

Performance Duties :

  • Safely transport documents, packages, and materials between schools, administrative offices, and other designated locations within the school district.
  • Facilitate picks up and deliveries outside of the district as directed (between other districts, DCIU, etc)
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collect and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate recipients within the school district.
  • Process outgoing mail and ensure it is ready for dispatch.
  • Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, including recipient signatures and delivery times.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues with deliveries.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on the courier vehicle.
  • Make sure vehicle is charged and report any vehicle issues promptly.
  • Maintain effective communication with administrative staff and school personnel to coordinate deliveries.
  • Provide regular updates on delivery schedules and potential delays.
  • Must be able to use technology.
  • Adhere to security protocols to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of delivered items.
  • Follow established procedures for handling sensitive or confidential materials.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to deliveries promptly and professionally.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure smooth logistics.
  • Coordinate with other couriers or logistics personnel to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
  • Assist with snow removal.
  • Assist with other logistical tasks as needed.
  • Fill in at building level as needed.
  • Help with skilled maintenance projects.
  • All other duties as assigned.

    • Working Hours : Full-time hours based on the operational needs of the school district.

    Additional Requirements :

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

    • Additional documents that are required for employment but are not required to apply :

  • Current (less than one-year old) clearances : Child Abuse, PA State Police Criminal History, FBI Fingerprint Record
  • Completion of PA Act 168 Disclosure Release Form(s)

    • Hourly Rate : $22.77
