The following full-time Level 2 position may be available:
Building Administrative Assistant
Radnor Middle School
(7 hours/day; 12-months)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma plus experience in an administrative setting
- Ability to communicate effectively with community, parents, staff, and students
- Ability to set priorities, exercise judgment, display tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity
- Ability to work well with administrators, teachers, support staff, students, and the community
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and database management
- Prerequisite skills testing
Performance Responsibilities:
- Schedule meetings, coordinate mailings, prepare/edit correspondence/reports, as directed by the Building Principal
- Schedule Teacher observations as directed by the Building Principal
- Assist with copying and laminating of classroom materials, including contacting copy/laminating machine vendors and maintaining contracts.
- Provide support with substitute teacher/support professional coverage (daily/short-term assignments)
- Provide support to the Athletic Director, when applicable, and as directed by the Building Principal
- Process and keep Internal and External Building Use Requests
- Update and keep the internal RMS (Radnor Middle School) building calendar
- Relay all web-based calendar updates and building-specific website updates to RTSD Communication Coordinator’s office
- Update and maintain a running list of all after-school clubs on RMS website and Student Bulletin
- Compose, design and post student/staff bulletins to website
- Assign student lockers and maintain record/spreadsheet/Learning Management System (LMS) for all RMS students
- Work with grade level and departmental chairs for the organization and scheduling of field trips/class trips and transportation.
- Oversee parking lot usage, in conjunction with our Asst. Director of Facilities and Building Principal
- Serve a communicator to school PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization)
- General secretarial/clerical office duties including but not limited to greeting visitors, handling phone calls/inquiries, and mail distribution, as determined by the Building Principal
- Other duties as assigned by the Building Principal (who serves as your direct supervisor)
Hourly Rate Range: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
