Position Overview:

Radome Services LLC, a woman-owned small business specializing in installing radar domes globally, is seeking an experienced and highly organized Logistics Manager to oversee our supply chain operations. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for planning, purchasing, and shipping materials and tools; collecting quotes for equipment rentals; reserving equipment including preparing and sending purchase orders to vendors; stocking and maintaining tools and supplies stored at the warehouse. This position is essential to ensuring all logistical activities related to projects run smoothly and efficiently while minimizing operational costs, meeting delivery timelines, and maintaining vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily logistics operations, including timely shipping of tools, inventory management and general warehouse organization.
  • Management of warehouse employee along with all tools and materials, warehouse equipment and storage and inventory of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
  • Work in lockstep with project managers and operations team to recognize opportunities for cost savings, anticipate overages and decrease costs.
  • Maintain records of purchase orders and anticipated invoices ensuring all vendors submit invoices upon completion of projects.
  • Gather and provide quotes to cost estimator for all equipment, packaging and shipping of materials and tools needed for each project.
  • Manage relationships with domestic and foreign vendors.
  • Reserve all required equipment for foreign and domestic projects to include cranes, manlifts, telehandlers, toilets, shelters, scaffolding and tools.

· Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety and environmental standards.

  • Lead and manage the logistics team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Understanding of Hazmat and Dangerous goods shipping and packaging requirements for both foreign and domestic locations.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of logistics systems, inventory management, and transportation strategies.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize, structure and schedule tasks to maximize effort and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with crane operations, rigging and heavy equipment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, International Shipping and Freight requirements, international packaging standards).
  • Need to be independently motivated and work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain or operations and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience. Other combinations of formal education and years of relevant experience may be considered.

· Experience in construction and manufacturing is a plus.

· Two (2) years or more managing and leading direct reports.

· Excellent knowledge of Transportation and/or Warehouse Logistics operations.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with travel to Shrewsbury, MA warehouse for oversight and occasional travel required for site visits or meetings.
  • Occasionally long hours may be required based on project deadlines, requests to companies in foreign time zones, or emergencies occurring at a job site.

 

Additional Information:

· Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with additional hours and flexibility as needed to coordinate with vendors in other time zones

· Compensation: Salary range $65,000-$80,000 commensurate with experience & education
