We are seeking a skilled Power BI Report and Dashboard Designer/Developer with intermediate experience to join our data analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, enhancing, and maintaining advanced Power BI reports and dashboards that drive business insights and improve decision-making. You will be responsible for training and skill enhancement efforts for the existing Data Analysts in Power BI design/development and the application of PBI concepts to data sets, The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Power BI, a good grasp of SQL, and a strong understanding of database concepts, with a focus on data transformation, modeling, and DAX.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: May be modified from time to time. Other duties may be assigned.
- Collaborate with business analysts, end-users, supervisors, managers, and stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable dashboards and reports.
- Design, develop, and maintain basic Power BI dashboards and reports to provide visual insights into Radwell enterprise data, and other procured third-party data, for users in all relevant departments.
- Utilize Power BI's features, including data connections; Power Query and transformation logic; DAX (Data Analysis Expressions); and standard and third-party visualizations to build effective and expressive reports and dashboards.
- Perform data extraction and transformation as needed to ensure data is optimized for reporting and visualization.
- Provide training classes and watch-along sessions to transfer knowledge of Power BI design, development, and the application of concepts to data for the existing Data Analytics team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues in Power BI reports and data models.
- Use SQL to perform basic data querying and manipulation to support report development.
- Assist in documentation and report requirements gathering.
- Stay current with the state of the art in Power BI functional updates and best practices to improve reporting and visualization capabilities for yourself and the organization as a whole.
- Other tasks may also be required from time to time, at the discretion of management, to achieve or contribute towards the achievement of department and company objectives.
METRICS
Power BI Developers are required to complete daily, weekly, and monthly commitments as directed by the Data Analytics Manager and other IT Management. They will be measured on the quality of their work; the efficiency which with they implement new reports and report changes; and on how effectively they accomplish their tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
It is essential that candidate possesses or can quickly acquire the necessary knowledge of the following systems which are crucial to the business:
- Intermediate-level experience with Power BI and a foundational understanding of report and dashboard development
- Microsoft Office including high-level capabilities in Excel for data analysis
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server for data retrieval, filtering, and simple joins
- Basic understanding of relational databases and data structures
- Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
- Familiarity with other reporting tools or programming languages is a plus

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· AS, AAS, BS or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, along with 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training
- Technical product knowledge preferred

· Lifting requirements include occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
