Physician Assistant - Ophthalmology - CSSD (Children's Specialists of San Diego)

This employment opportunity is being recruited by Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego on behalf of Children's Specialists of San Diego.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is accountable for a defined patient population under the supervision of a licensed physician. Functions dependently in a staff position, implementing the role of expert practitioner, consultant, educator, and researcher within a specialized area of patient care. Performs within the scope of licensures and in accordance with hospital policies.  Some positions will be responsible for being on call according to a predetermined schedule or as needed, pursuant to hospital needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree

Completion of a Physican Assistant Program

Current California Physican Assistant License

Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA

Furnishing number, State of California (must obtain within 1 year of employment)

DEA license for position that require the writing of scheduled medications (must obtain within 1 year of employment)

Medicare Billing Number (NPI-National Provider Identifier) - (must obtain within 6 months of employment)

Certification: Physican Assistant, National Commission (must obtain within 1 year of employment)

Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff Services

Successfully complete the requirements of the delegations of Services for the assigned division

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

2 years of experience in specialty area as a Physican Assistant

Formal in-service education and/or lecturing skills

Bilingual

The expected hiring range for this position is $61.30 to $84.28
