Rae Ann Suburban, a skilled nursing facility, is currently seeking a full time Staffing Coordinator.
Staffing Coordinator serves as clerical support to the nursing department and reports to the Director of Nursing.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work with a team but also with minimal supervision
- Self-starter
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Basic computer skills
- Long-term care experience preferred
- Prior staffing experience is a plus
- Stna or other certification in the nursing field
Duties:
Supports the goals, initiatives, programs and philosophy of the nursing department
- Schedules the STNAs and restorative aides to meet the State and Federal guidelines and the company standard.
- Adjusts staffing based on PPD to reflect budget compliance
- Maintains a record of all actual worked schedules per facility policy
- Accepts call-offs and replaces staff as needed on the schedule
- Prepares daily staffing assignment sheets
- Meets with STNA’s as they clock in and make assignment adjustments as needed
- Maintains attendance records for the STNAs by tracking attendance through on-shift.
- Keeps track of hours worked throughout the week to help minimize overtime
- Serves on committees as requested
- Maintains strict confidentiality concerning both residents and staff
- Assists Director of Nursing in identifying and resolving retention issues
- Coordinates a training schedule with newly hired STNA’s and ensures they receive proper training
- Communicates within the nursing department and with other departments in a professional manner
- Serves as a facility representative at job fairs or other recruitment initiatives as needed
- Performs other duties within the scope of training as requested by the Director of Nursing
- Assist in training new staff
- Must be available to cover call offs or holes as needed
- Any changes must be approved by the DON
