Job Description
The Director of Banquets is responsible for assuring the entire operational service of all group, social, banquets and planned food and beverage events while maintaining a profitable operation and high quality products and service levels. They are expected to promote business; reduce employee turnover; maintain revenue and payroll budgets; and meet budgeted productivity while keeping quality consistently high.
Qualifications
- 2 years or more of experience as Banquet Director in a luxury hotel / venue.
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred.
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
- 10 years operational banquet experience to include equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of service standards, and different service types.
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations.
