About the role :
As a Deputy Product Manager (DPM), you will support and oversee the successful execution of a high-visibility DoD contract. The DPM will assist the Product Manager (PM) in all aspects of program execution, including contract management, personnel oversight, stakeholder engagement, and technical delivery. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure contract objectives are met on time and within budget.
- Assist the PM in planning, executing, and managing all aspects of program performance, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and company objectives.
- Oversee program deliverables, milestones, and budgets, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless contract execution.
- Serve as a key point of contact for government customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in managing program staff, ensuring the right talent is assigned to key teams.
- Support workforce planning, recruiting, and retention efforts to maintain program continuity.
- Monitor program financials, ensuring adherence to budget constraints and contract funding limits
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess program success and areas for improvement
- Support proposal efforts, including cost estimates, work breakdown structures (WBS), and contract modifications
