We’re looking for an experienced Associate Software Engineer to support our customers and join our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers.

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will be learning the software lifecycle, taking on introductory tasks and supporting project initiatives. You will write code under guidance, participate in design discussions, receive code reviews, and be mentored by Senior Engineers, helping you develop towards the high standards of our organization. You will contribute to a software team's delivery.

What we are looking for:
- 0-2 years of hands-on experience as a software engineer
- Eagerness to learn and grow technically
- Ability to understand technical requirements and functional requirements with guidance
- Familiarity with one or more of: Golang, Rust, or Java
- Experience with Big Data/Cloud/Enterprise Frameworks (academic or professional)
- Understanding of web-socket and RESTFul APIs
- Basic knowledge of SW design and architecture patterns
- Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes
- A strong collaborator who can work well with a diverse team
- Open to receiving mentorship from senior engineers
- Demonstrated working knowledge & experience in the following areas:
- Introduction to Kubernetes
- Basic database concepts
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Developing applications with supervision
- Able to obtain a Security certification within 180 days of employment with Raft
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related field
- Coursework or projects related to Software Factories and Big Data Platforms
- Exposure to DuckDB and Kafka
- Interest in Kubernetes certification
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Onsite in McLean, VA
- May require up to 10% travel
- $90,000 - $130,000
- The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate's comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities

Salary : $90,000 - $130,000
