An inclusive environment at rag & bone upholds our original values by encouraging employee connection and empowering each individual to have a voice on policy, process, and collaboration for a more equitable future.Job SummaryRag & Bone is looking for a Denim Design Assistant with background or experience in shirting, fabric development and tailoring who will support Men’s Designer with daily tasks and seasonal projects.Responsibilities• Manage fabric design and development from hand loom through SMS fabric• Create and maintain seasonal boards (physical & digital versions) and keep boardsupdated after meetings and fittings.• Trend/Vintage research based on seasonal inspiration• Manage rentals, past protos and reference styles for meetings and reference.• Research for seasonal design concepts• Assist in design and set up of mock-ups and trials.• Assist in setting up of Tech Packs and sketches where necessary• Edit sketches in Adobe Illustrator and photoshop• Assist with sketch annotations for SMS (coordinating with Technical Designer to ensureall information is in-line with SMS Tech Packs)• Setting up and editing linesheets in Adobe Illustrator• Attending fittings when necessary (proto /SMS stage – assist in collating designinformation for Tech Packs)• Assist in ordering trim for SMS• Manage and organize trims/labels/combo fabrics etc for protos and sms• Manage storage/archive samples• Coordinate with sample room for any alterations for Show/MarketRequirements(skills, qualifications, education, etc)• Must have technical knowledge of Denim design and manufacturing• Experience with tailored garments, suiting or shirting• Must be extremely organized and have ability to multi-task• Must have thorough knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopRules we live by | Rules you live by
