The Lead PLM Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing and managing end-to-end Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes within the product development cycle. This role plays a critical part in documenting and aligning business needs with the capabilities of the Lectra Kubix Link PLM platform, ensuring speed-to-market, data consistency, and cross-functional collaboration across Design, Development, Merchandising, Sourcing, and Production teams.
Responsibilities
• Lead the design, rollout, and continuous improvement of PLM processes on the Lectra Kubix Link platform to support seasonal calendar execution and product creation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to map and streamline product development workflows from initial concept through production and delivery.
• Partner closely with IT, Product Development, and Merchandising to ensure PLM configurations meet business requirements and user needs.
• Drive system and process standardization across product categories and global teams, ensuring data consistency and compliance with brand standards.
• Manage PLM data governance, including BOMs, tech packs, materials, colorways, fit history, and vendor collaboration.
• Act as the primary subject matter expert for Lectra Kubix Link, providing functional support and guidance to users and super-users.
• Lead training sessions, create user documentation, and develop onboarding tools to support adoption and user proficiency.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), enhancements, and system upgrades in partnership with Lectra and internal IT teams.
• Monitor system performance, user feedback, and key KPIs to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay informed on fashion PLM trends and best practices to keep the business at the forefront of digital product development
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Fashion Technology, Apparel Production, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in PLM process engineering or system implementation within the fashion or apparel industry.
• Hands-on experience with Lectra Kubix Link PLM is preferred.
• Strong understanding of apparel product development lifecycles, from design to delivery.
• Experience working with BOMs, tech packs, materials libraries, and supplier collaboration within a PLM environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving operational efficiencies and process transformation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across departments and levels.
• Experience integrating PLM with ERP (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O), CAD, or other enterprise systems is a plus.
This is initially a 6-month contract for 3 days per week, with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
